How to Make a UGC Creator Portfolio: 4 Examples + Free Portfolio Template

Picture Maya. She is fictional, but her problem is real. She spends Saturday choosing fonts and adds twelve coffee photos. On Monday, a brand still cannot find a product video.
The fonts had a lovely weekend. Maya did not.
A strong UGC creator portfolio shows what you make, which products you understand and how to contact you. A brand should understand your value in two minutes. Do not make them play detective.
This guide shows you what to include, how to present your work and how AI can fill a missing portfolio format.
What should a UGC portfolio include?
Your portfolio needs to answer five questions:
- Can you speak naturally?
- Can you show the product clearly?
- Can you tell a useful story?
- Can you edit vertical video?
- Can a brand contact you easily?
Use this simple order:
| Section | What to include |
|---|---|
| Opening | Your name, niche and one sentence explaining what you create |
| Best work | Four videos showing different creative skills |
| Services | Reviews, demonstrations, unboxings, voiceovers or paid-ad variations |
| About you | Two or three useful sentences, not your autobiography |
| Contact | Email, social profile and one clear button |

For a new UGC creator, the strongest starter mix is a review, a demonstration, an unboxing and a problem-solution video. Together, they show that you can talk, teach, handle products and structure a persuasive story. In other words, you are versatile. A one-trick pony is charming at a birthday party, but less convincing in a brand pitch.
The app demonstration is optional. Include it if you want work from software, SaaS or mobile-app brands. If you only want physical-product campaigns, replace it with a lifestyle or product tutorial. Your portfolio should match the jobs you want. There is no need to make a spreadsheet famous if software is not your thing.
Four UGC portfolio examples and what each one proves
Do not add a video with no explanation. Give every sample a title, the product category, your role and one sentence about the skill it demonstrates. A silent grid of thumbnails is just a camera roll wearing a tie.
1. Customer review with B-roll: Moo's Craft Barbecue
The creator tries several dishes and gives a 9.5 out of 10 verdict. Food close-ups support his opinion and the rating ends the story.
Why it belongs in a portfolio: It proves that you can review a real experience, capture useful B-roll and deliver a confident opinion. It suits food, travel, hospitality and local businesses. The beef rib also understands its role. It looks excellent.
How to label your version: Restaurant review | On-camera presenter, filming and edit
The original came from @lifeofcian on TikTok. Disclose commissioned, gifted or affiliate work clearly, following the FTC's endorsement guidance.
2. Real product workflow: Anki for medical school
A medical student shows how she creates Anki flashcards on an iPad, from deck creation and split-screen research to her review routine. She teaches a process instead of calling the app "amazing" seventeen times.
Why it belongs in a portfolio: It proves that you can explain software through real use. The screen footage stays clear without becoming a tiny technical manual. Skip it if you do not want app work.
How to label your version: App demonstration | Script, screen recording and voiceover
The original workflow was shared by @christina.aaliyah on TikTok.
3. Unboxing with a reason to care: Amex Platinum
The creator opens her card package, reveals it and explains why she chose it for travel rewards. The reveal gets attention, but the benefits keep viewers watching. Even cardboard needs a plot.
Why it belongs in a portfolio: It demonstrates product handling, natural excitement and benefit-led explanation. Those skills transfer to beauty, technology, subscription boxes and ecommerce. No marching band required.
How to label your version: Unboxing | On-camera delivery, product shots and edit
The original came from @mikiraiofficial on TikTok. With financial products, describe your work without repeating unverified claims.
4. AI-assisted problem-solution video: sports watch
This example starts with a familiar fitness problem, then presents the sports watch as the practical solution. The AI presenter, gym setting and readable subtitles keep that journey easy to follow in a vertical video.
Why it belongs in a portfolio: It proves that you can turn a customer problem into a short product story instead of simply listing features. It also demonstrates scripting, visual direction, avatar selection and caption design. Label it as AI-created. Pixels do not complete 10,000 steps, however motivated they look.

State whether every sample was organic, commissioned, speculative or AI-assisted.
How to build your UGC creator portfolio
1. Choose four skills to prove
Pick the work you want brands to request. A useful starter set is:
- one direct-to-camera review;
- one demonstration or tutorial;
- one unboxing;
- one problem-solution video, filmed normally or created with AI.
Choose one per skill. Four strong videos beat fourteen clips beginning with "Guys, you need this."
2. Make sample work when you have no clients
Use products you own and answer one buyer question on camera. Label it sample, portfolio work or spec work. Never invent a partnership or result.
For the spoken structure, adapt one of these
UGC script templates or start with Reloop's free AI ad script generator. Your first script only needs a hook, useful proof and a next step. It does not need to sound like a shampoo commercial from outer space.
3. Put your strongest video first
Lead with the video that best matches the work you want. Add this short label:
Skincare demonstration | Concept, script, filming, voiceover and edit
That line tells a brand more than Video #7 final FINAL.mp4, a filename that has frightened many laptops.
4. Make the page easy to open
Use a simple website, Notion page or PDF. Test every link on mobile in a private window. If access requires permission, your sales funnel has become a locked door.
5. End with one clear action
Name your formats, niches and contact details. A simple ending works:
Need a product review, tutorial or paid social video? Email me at [address] with your product, deadline and intended platform.

Add AI-assisted videos to your service offering
AI-assisted production can be a paid service, not merely a shortcut for your own portfolio. Offer brands an AI version of you for extra hooks, languages, scripts or product angles. You still guide the idea and final edit. The robot does not take your job and go for lunch. Lunch remains yours.
This is already normal creator work. An Adobe survey of 16,000 creators found that 86% used creative generative AI, while 52% used it to make assets such as images and videos.
AI can draft scripts, test hooks, add captions and cover difficult niches. It cannot honestly claim that a moisturizer fixed its skin. It has never even owned a bathroom cabinet.
Reloop is an AI marketing video platform for social videos, ads, product demonstrations, explainers and UGC-style content. To create a personalized avatar:
- Upload one clear, well-lit photo of your face. You can add more face pictures as references if needed.
- Record or upload a natural 30-second voice sample so Reloop can create your custom voice.
- Add your script and choose the scene, clothing and setting that fit the brief.
- Generate the video, review the pronunciation and captions, then edit anything that feels stiff.
- Label the finished portfolio sample as AI-assisted.
The result can look and sound like you without another recording session. Your AI twin will not complain about version fourteen or ask where its charger went. Only upload a face and voice you own or have permission to use. See the custom avatar and voice workflow, then read the guide to
creating AI UGC videos.

If all seven boxes are checked, send the portfolio. It does not need another beige background.
